How to Become a BCBA

To become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), you need to: earn a graduate degree in a relevant field like psychology or behavior analysis, complete required coursework, gain supervised fieldwork experience, and pass the BCBA exam administered by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).

How to Become an RBT

To become a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), you must be at least 18 years old, have a high school diploma or equivalent, pass a background check, and complete a 40-hour RBT training course through a certified provider, followed by a competency assessment and passing the RBT exam to receive your certification; all of which should be done under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
